Overview
Tick works without a Tick account. The developer does not operate an account service, advertising service or third-party analytics service for the app.
Data stored by Tick
Counter names, values, goals, reset schedules, history, preferences and widget snapshots are stored locally on your devices. Widget snapshots and pending widget actions use Apple’s App Group storage on the same device.
While Premium is active, Tick automatically attempts to synchronize counter metadata and event history with your own private iCloud database whenever the device’s system iCloud account and CloudKit are available. Tick has no in-app switch for this synchronization. Apple operates iCloud and controls its availability, security, system settings and account-level retention. When iCloud is unavailable, Tick continues to keep data locally and can synchronize again when the system service becomes available. Tick does not copy the private database to a developer-operated server.
Purchases
Apple processes Premium purchases through StoreKit. Tick receives product and subscription-entitlement information needed to show prices, determine access, complete purchases and restore purchases. Tick does not receive your complete payment-card details.
Data collection and sharing
Tick contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. The developer does not receive your counter content through the app and does not sell it. Data you explicitly export to CSV is saved or shared only through the destination you choose.
Your choices
You can use Tick locally without Premium. With active Premium, synchronization is automatic when system iCloud is available; iCloud availability and account access are controlled through the device and Apple Account rather than an in-app toggle. If Premium ends, synchronization stops, but Tick does not delete local or previously synchronized counter data available to the app. Removing Tick deletes data stored only in that installation; exported files and data retained by iCloud remain subject to the controls of their respective destination or Apple Account.
