Teleprompter Studio — Privacy Policy

Teleprompter Studio (“the extension”) is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share any personal information.

What the extension accesses

• Camera and microphone: used only to display a live preview and to record a video on your device when you press Record. You grant access through your browser’s standard prompt. The audio/video stream is never uploaded or transmitted; recordings are saved locally and downloaded by you.
• Local storage: your scripts and preferences are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so they persist between sessions. This data stays on your device.
• Translation: the optional translate feature uses your browser’s built-in on-device translator. Text is not sent to any external service.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect analytics or telemetry.
• We do not use cookies or tracking.
• We do not send your scripts, recordings, camera, microphone, or settings to any server or third party.
• We do not load or run any remote code.
