Brushly — Privacy Policy
Brushly (“the app”) runs entirely on your device. It has no servers, no accounts and no network code of any kind: the app cannot send your data anywhere, because it never opens a connection.
We collect nothing. Not your brushing history, not your settings, not an identifier, not a crash report.
What the app stores, and where
- Your brushing sessions — when a routine started and finished, which mouth zones were covered, how long each step ran, and the points and streaks derived from them. Stored in a local database on your device (Apple’s
SwiftData), inside the app’s own container. - Your settings — routine length, sound and haptics on or off. Stored locally in the app’s preferences.
- An interrupted routine — if you leave mid-routine, a small file records where you were so the app can offer to resume. It is deleted when the routine ends.
All three live only on your device. They are included in your device backup if you use one, which is between you, your device and Apple — we have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, telemetry or crash reporting. The app contains no analytics SDK.
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites. Nothing to opt out of.
- No account, no sign-in, no email address collected.
- No camera, no microphone, no photos, no contacts, no location.
- No Apple Health data is read or written.
- No data is sold or shared, because none is collected.
Device features the app uses
- Sound — short cues at the end of a zone and at the end of a routine, played through the system. You can turn them off in Setup.
- Haptics — the same cues as vibration. Also switchable in Setup.
Neither records anything.
Purchases
If a paid feature is offered in a future version, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and Apple’s own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children
The app is safe for children to use: it collects no information from anyone, of any age, and shows no ads or external links inside the brushing experience.
Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal data a company holds about you — to see it, correct it, delete it or take it elsewhere. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose or delete. The data on your device is yours to remove at any time by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app starts using data differently, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
